This morning after dropping the boys off at school I was so inspired by the beautiful spring day, and the scenery I decided to not go home right away and just keep on walking! Tate and I headed over to Regents Park, which is one of the Royal parks and very close to our home. I felt like Lizzy or Marianne from an Austen novel just walking and walking and enjoying the sunshine and english scenery.
I'm sorry but does this not look right out of some period piece film?!
"Two road diverged..." Okay so not British, but that's what I thought when I saw this.
The most beautiful trees and scenery! I know I keep talking about it, but I can't get over it! Maybe I have just been in Texas too long, but this place it gorgeous!
The swan princess...
I was listening to my iPhone and just walking around all over the park, taking it all in and enjoying myself. Well then Tate started to get super annoyed with our little walk and started screaming and I started getting really, really tired. I looked at my phone. Holy Hannah! I had been walking for a little over an hour and really had no idea where I was! Somewhere in Regents Park, this I knew, but I had completely gotten lost in it! Good thing it didn't start to rain and I then I might have fallen and sprained my ankle and then that good for nothing John Willoughby would have had to come along and rescue me, and we all know what came of that!
Thank heavens for google maps and it seriously took me 23 more minutes to get home. I was exhausted by the time I walked in the door. Tate was so ticked at me for interrupting his morning schedule, he protested by not taking a nap. It was lovely! But worth it because I fell in love with Regents Park. I will be back for many walks, just not so long next time.
We finally had our internet guy come and he was in all in a huff that the hookups in our flat were so ancient I guess. He fiddled around for a while with things, and then he came and found me and told me he had to go outside for "about a half hour". I had lunch plans, and had to cancel them and so I just sat around the flat waiting for him to come back. Three hours later, he finally came back. For reals. I seriously thought he had just left. It was too crazy for words, but I didn't really care, because now we have internet and a phone! Yippy!
Tonight while I was making dinner I left to see where Tate was. I should have known. As soon as the big boys come home he is right there with them shadowing them around. They were playing computer and he was right by the desk just watching them and playing with his toys. It is so darling. I shot a few pics just in case anyone wanted to dispute this story.
Tonight I went to an RS activity at the church and it was so great to be with other women and have some grown up talk. Now I think I am going to go watch the series finale of How I Met Your Mother because everyone is talking about it and I have to see what happens, and I need to catch up on Revenge because I miss it! Thank you iTunes!
