Even though we already celebrated Mother's Day back in March when it was Mother's Day here in the UK, Todd and the boys still got me flowers, which was very sweet!
I love this quote, I think it is one of my favorite quotes about mothers...
It is amazing that when you have a baby all of a sudden these motherly instincts take over and you will literally do anything for that child. We go without sleep and food, we touch bugs, blood, and poopy diapers. We become so much more than we were before, all to nurture and care for these little children that we adore and love. Words could never describe the gratitude I have for my mother, and all she sacrificed for me. Words also couldn't describe how grateful I am for my own children and to be a mother. I believe it to be the most noble role of women, and I am grateful every day for the three boys who I am allowed to raise and to be their mother.
Today we went to church and had a wonderful Sunday there. I was able to teach the sunbeams, who were such sweet kiddos and I really enjoyed being in Primary singing the songs and feeling the sweet spirit that is always there.
Tate is getting impossible at church. It is the hardest age. By the time sacrament meeting comes along he is so tired from not having his morning nap, he is a bear. We spent most of the meeting i the visitor center outside the chapel, which he loves.
We got home and I got to work cooking dinner and getting ready for our friends the Warners to come for a visit. They are here in London together for a vacation and I really couldn't wait to see them! They got here and we ate dinner and chatted for a few hours. It was SO good to see Loralee and to hear all the latest news from home. I am a lucky girl to have such wonderful friends back in Texas!
After the Warners left we cleaned up and got the boys ready for bed, into bed, and now I am waiting to skype with my family to say Happy Mother's Day to my Mom. I think I might try to take a little nap before they call at 11:00pm because I am one tired senorita!
