Day One-Hundred and Twenty-Eight: Mom Camp

Monday, July 21, 2014

To help me not lose my mind, I decided to do my own "mom camp" or "summer stations" this summer. Basically it will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for a few hours after breakfast and chores, ideally when Tate is napping.

There are several stations that the boys rotate through, but they are never in the same room, which is not just a coincidence let me tell ya! We've got a science/math station with a globe, science and math workbooks, and a multiplication electronic game. A handwriting station. An Art station with lots of fun art things to do like origami, drawing, clay, paints. A computer station with computer games, and a reading corner for reading.

Today was the first day and it went pretty well. I'm thinking this might really help break up the long summer days...

Tagg with the globe...

The weather here has been amazing. I honestly didn't know that places like London existed in the summer. I thought summer was blazing hot or humid, or both! But here it just isn't. It's warm, but still has a nice cool breeze. It is such a delightful break. I am not going to lie when I say I am in heaven not experiencing 100 degree heat every day. But Europe, get AC. You still need it.
