Today is my 34th birthday. I am old. If I really sit and think about the age 34 I am in a bit of shock that that is how old I am. How is it possible?! I still feel 21. Guess time flies when you are having fun.
This morning I awoke oh so happy to be spending my birthday on the Disney Magic. Todd declared today my "Pretty Princess Party" since I don't have any girls and love to be the princess of the family. (revenge is sweet, his birthday is in a few weeks) I quickly reminded him that I am Queen not princess, but whatever I'll take it.
We went to breakfast and the boys surprised me with my very own hot pink Minnie Mouse cell phone cover, which was very cute. I also got my very first trading pin to put on my lanyard. I am succombing to the full fledgness of being a disney geek.
After breakfast we went back to our cabin and got ready and the rest of the day flew right on by with lots of relaxing looking out on to the sea, wandering the ship, having a small little church meeting in our cabin, and eating (of course).
Before dinner I opened my present which happened to be "wrapped" in this glamorous black suitcase.
It was a brand new camera lens that takes AMAZING photos, so the photos from here on out should be a lot better...
Here I am practicing with my new lens while the boys chillaxed.
We went to dinner at Lumieres, which is the formal restaurant on ship and had a wonderful dinner. We found out tonight that our table mate went to the U of U and I thought he just might DIE when he heard we were cougars. What are the chances?
Another shameless plug for Disney Cruises...the crew members (staff) are AWESOME. They really go above and beyond and then beyond that. They cut your kids meat for you so you don't have to! I mean c'mon, that's worth the money itself. If I can be the laziest parent for a week and my kids will not only be fed but deliriously happy, why not?
Our server making a hand puppet at dinner for Taters.
He loved it. (still working on the pictures guys...)
....and they dollop the ketchup into a shape of Mickey for the kids corndogs...
....which makes little boys happy...
After dinner was over several of the servers came over and sang to me. Ay. Too old for this shiz, but anyway, they dropped off the most delicious birthday cake and it was a great end to a wonderful dinner.
We went back to our cabin and found our room turned down for the night and our second towel animal waiting for us...a peacock. Is it pathetic or sad that I look forward to these every night? Probably both.
We went to see "Twice Charmed" that night in the big theater and it was a fun and cute show about Cinderella. After it was over we got up to leave and this is what we saw...
Okay so you can't really see clearly, but there was a Mom dressed like Cinderella, a little girl dressed like Cinderella and wait for it...a DAD dressed like Cinderella too...
Ummmmm....yikes. It was like a train wreck. I couldn't stop staring. And then I realized it is a slippery slope down into Disney Nutball Land.
We went back to our room and hit the hay. Everyone was tired from relaxing all day on the ship. Ha! But we have a big day tomorrow heading into Villefranche and Nice. It has been a wonderful birthday.
