There is this lovely area and park near us called Primrose Hill. Every time I think about it I hear, "Primrose Everdeen!", in Effie's voice. Thanks for that Hunger Games!
But really, Primrose Hill is as lovely and quaint as the name sounds. It has a cute little village feel, with charming shops and cafes, and a beautiful park. I have heard you can also spot Gwen Stefani or Posh and Becks there sometimes. Pretty cool! Today a bunch of moms from the ward decided to head over to the park and then to get cupcakes after.
I forgot to click a pic, so here is one I found on the interweb...
The park was lovely and it was a beautiful day. Thatcher and Tagg are out of school for Easter break. They had a blast playing on the big playground equipment for a while. Tate went from mom to mom giving hugs and begging for food, his usual routine. The boys started to get grumpy and hungry after about an hour and half, so we all headed out to get cupcakes. We totally overwhelmed the poor cupcake shop with about 8 moms and all their kids and strollers. But we all got cupcakes and the kids were happy. After the walk home and wrangling my kids for three hours of the first day of break with an above average amount of whining and complaining on the way home, I was exhausted.
I put Tate down for a long nap and took a nap myself. The first day of break is always hard.
Todd came home and we spent a nice boring night eating dinner and doing the ol' bedtime routine and watching some shows on iTunes. Boring nights are some of the best nights.
