Day Twenty-Three: Conference Sunday

Monday, April 7, 2014

Today Take decided to wake up at 5:30am.  I guess he was just so excited for our big conference Sunday breakfast and watching conference!

We had german pancakes for breakfast and added clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves to them for a British flare.  They were delicious.

Sleepyhead breakfast pictures...

Tagg being goofy.

After breakfast I did what all other mormon women do on conference Sunday.  I baked and I prepared our meal to eat after conference.  I don't know when conference became this foody kind of day with lots of yummy food and treats, but it has and we will take it around our house.  I made stew and dumplings and it was so homey smelling cooking all day long.

We watched the Saturday afternoon session in the morning.  The boys "listened" while they built this train set in the other room...

After the afternoon/our morning session we relaxed and napped and hung out together until 5:00pm and turned on the Sunday morning session live.  It is so confusing and convoluted with the times all messed up.  But even though it was wacky watching conference at different times, the spirit that filled our home was the exact same and that I love!

Even Tate loved watching President Monson on the computer.  I thought it was sweet that he was so drawn to the computer when he was talking.  Or he was drawn to trying to push all the keys at the same time.  But seriously, he kept smiling and touching his face.  So cute.

Tate also spent a good amount of time during the Sunday morning session playing with his best friend, himself, in the mirror.  I will never get tired of watching this, it is too funny!

We had a great conference Sunday and feel filled to the brim both physically, but mostly spiritually.  I am so grateful for all the messages that we heard over the last few days.  It was truly a beautiful conference filled with hopeful and helpful messages.   Now I am excited to get the talks and listen to them for the next six months!
