Today Thatcher didn't have school because the teachers were striking, again. It is so funny to be here and see how different things are and how they deal with problems differently than we do. So Thatcher was happy because he got a day to spend home with Tate and I. Tagg didn't mind too much that he had to go to school while Thatcher stayed home because he was going on a field trip to see a play.
This morning I took Thatcher along with us on our run through Regents Park. He was actually super excited to go running with me, which I thought was cute. We dropped Tagg off at school and headed to the park. As we crossed the street to the park I told him that as soon as we got to the other side we would start running. When I run I am not a talker, nor do I really like people chatting it up with me...so it was hilarious to see that Thatcher literally talked to me the ENTIRE run. I was answering with such short, curt responses, but that didn't stop him. He is such a funny kid. "Mom, do you know where black holes come from"...a typical topic of his conversation with me. Oh Thatcher, I love that kid.
We stopped at the playground on our way home and he and Tate played and played. I love how close these two boys are, even though they are 8 years apart. Thatcher really does adore Tate, and visa versa.
We came home and Thatcher had some friends over from our ward, and we all stayed inside out of the rain today. I forgot my umbrella when I went to go pick up Tagg at school, and got drenched on the way home. Good times.
